I’d like to thank the guys, Jason and Creed, for saving me a seat here in the Balcony. I’m not sure how they’re going to Photoshop me into all those “buddy” pictures they have with one another, but I guess I’ll leave that up to Jason.
I won’t bore you with too much information about myself, but we should probably get to know one another a little bit, don’t you think?
This summer, my wife and I will have been married for 10 years. So far we’ve made it through her medical school, residency, and now are transitioning to her life as a physician in private practice. I was a middle school teacher for seven years, until we had our third child, then I put away my lesson plan book for good. That was in 2011. I’ve been a stay-at-home dad ever since.
We have three kids…First Born is in the third grade. She’s a pretty typical first child. She’s plays the “mom role” to her siblings any chance she gets. She also uses the phrase “the kids” when referring to her brother and sister, and is a self-described instant expert in just about activity she’s ever participated in.
Middle man, is our boy. He’s a pretty chill, easy going little guy…most of the time, but when he puts his foot down about something, there is not a more stubborn person in our house (except for maybe me.)
The “baby” of the family is the Blonde Bomber, age 3. She makes my life impossible most days. I never knew one person could be such a joy and a pain in the ass at the same time.
Anyway, more about them later, I just wanted to stop in and say hello.
