On Sundays and Tuesdays, Scott Wise owner of Scotty’s Brewhouse, goes all Oprah Winfrey for kids at his restaurants.
“You get free corn dogs!”
“You get a free cheeseburger!”
“All of you kids get free drinks with your meals!”
Scotty’s has it figured out. It’s expensive for a family to go out to eat, and there are dozens of restaurants competing for the same slice of pie (food pun). No other restaurant I’m aware of comes even close to matching the deals Scotty’s offers families on kids eat free days.
Our family had dinner at Scotty’s this past Tuesday and it went a little something like this…
After we were seated, our kids were given free carrots, celery and dip as an appetizer.
A few minutes later our kids ordered their drinks…also free.
Next they looked at their menus and made their choices between several kid-friendly food items. They even had gluten-free items for kids. Not that it mattered to my son, who for some reason ordered a grilled cheese “with gluten.”
Along with each entree a free side (fries, broccoli, fruit, etc.) was included.
Once the meals arrived, each child was also given a free pack of gummy fruit snacks. We held onto those as an incentive for our kids to eat their food first, then the gummy snacks as dessert.
After dinner, each child was allowed to choose a free toy from the treasure chest.
Do you see a common theme throughout our experience? Free. Free. Free. Free. Free and Free.
They also offer free face painting while you wait for your food (call ahead for specific times and locations).
Let me make a few clarifications before I get myself or Scotty’s in trouble…
One adult entree has to be ordered for each free kid’s meal, but that’s understandable. You can’t have the Dugger family walk in getting 19 free kid’s meals.
Kid’s meals are available for kids ages 12 and under.
To get the kids eat free promotion you must be a member of the free VIP program.
If you are the type of person that dreads going out to eat with your kids because you’re afraid they’ll be too loud and bother other customers. you won’t have this problem at Scotty’s. There are so many families on the kids eat free days, we call it Scotty’s Daycare.
Most importantly, the food is really good there too. The menu has a large variety so there’s something for everyone. There are locations all over Indiana, so chances are there’s one fairly close to you. Take a night off from cooking and cleaning the kitchen and head to Scotty’s for dinner.
When I reached out to Scotty telling him I was writing this, he gave me some gift cards to give away. Three random winners will each be chosen to receive a $10 gift card, good at any Scotty’s Brewhouse. To be eligible to win all you have to do is leave a comment on the blog or Like, Comment or Share this page from Facebook.
Winners will be drawn and notified Wednesday, March 4, 2015.

Always have good experiences there. Great write-up
Thanks for the comprehensive and honest review! Always good to hear from parents who have personally gone and experienced the event!
I am a Scotty’s Regular and I have been to all of scotty’s Indiana locations.I always look forward to the nice friendly staff and the Great Food. I have always been a firm believer if you treat your employees really good then it will show. Keep up the good work Scott you are doing a great job.
1st time at Scotty’s last night for my husband BD with 2 kids, we all have a wonderful time. We didn’t know that Scotty’s offer free meal for kid so this is a plus. We have two young kids age 6 and 2 and they are the picky eater but both of them said that they like Scotty’s. My 6 years old already ask to comeback again. Btw they very love the face paint before meal.
